Office Visits
Our practice is committed to providing you and your family with safe, gentle, high-quality periodontal care. We understand that you, or your child, may feel anxious about visiting the periodontist. We are sensitive to your needs, and it is our goal to make you feel comfortable visiting our practice while providing the best care possible.
Your first visit is all about you – your comfort, your happiness, and your health.
During your first visit, we will review your dental and medical history forms, and take any necessary X-rays of your teeth. Dr. Crum will complete a thorough examination of your teeth and oral tissues and discuss our findings with you. We will present a treatment plan developed just for you and answer any questions that you may have. We will try to restore optimum periodontal health in a few well-planned appointments.
Bring your smile, but also remember to bring these with you to your first appointment.

Periodontal Maintenance Visits
We hope you share in our belief that regular preventive periodontal maintenance visits are a sound investment. Once you have periodontal disease and have gone through comprehensive treatment, it is essential that recall procedures be performed every three to four months to maintain your periodontal health. At the completion of periodontal treatment, we will evaluate your case carefully and establish the recall schedule most appropriate for you. Periodontal treatment is not worthwhile if you do not plan to follow the maintenance program that we establish. In most cases, we will alternate these recall appointments with your general dentist.
